Austin is a welder from Alaska. He is a very hard worker but he likes to play hard too. He likes to slide his car down the icy Alaskan roads. He also likes to go to raves and party with his friends all night. Many people have told him that he should be a model and he is now signed with an Agency in Dallas. He says he will enjoy the weather much better but miss his family and friends.
Obviously, in Alaska, the outdoors and the environment is a big part of everyone's life. Austin recycles to help our planet. He says he has even rode a bike in the snow instead of driving.

My name is Dustin Lail and I am 21 years old. I live in Baton Rouge, LA and attend Louisiana State University. I am a fun-loving guy and am very competitive. I've played sports all my life and have spent the past 6 years wrestling through high school and into college. Since starting college, I have began to love 3D modeling, simulation and design work. I am also a co-founder of a 501(c)3 corporation that raises awareness and funds for homeless youth through student organizations and events. It always makes you feel good knowing you are making a difference in someone else's life who cannot provide for themselves.

Supporting nature is a big part of the world today. I promote recycling and, being an engineering student and involved in designs and new ideas, work hard at reducing the amount of waste that different companies produce. Every design that comes out of my work uses the most resourceful and eco-friendly products available. I encourage everyone around me to do the same to help spread the word and protect this earth!

My name is Zach Van Way. I'm 22 years old and I live in Chesapeake, VA. I am currently enrolled in community college and am transferring back to Old Dominion University next semester. I love bodybuilding. I enjoy the challenges it offers as well as the obvious physical benefits that come along with it. When I'm not working or in the gym, I love spending time with my friends, family, and girlfriend.

I may not be Al Gore, but I strive to live as green as I can. I drive an eco friendly Volkswagon, and even had an aftermarket exhaust installed that improves my gas mileage while reducing harmful emissions, not to mention makes my car sound like a beast! I always recycle, and I absolutely DETEST littering. I might even start a fight with a stranger if I see them littering in public!!!

Originally from Iowa, I played college basketball and once I was finished with that, modeling was always something I was interested in. Since I got into modeling I met a lot of unique and helpful people in the business. On Display Men has been my biggest accomplishment to date though, I mean working with Alan and the amazing photographers at ODM, my confidence has absolutely skyrocketed. Thanks to Alan and the people I met in Texas during my visit, I now feel that modeling is definitely something I can flourish in. I always recycle even if it means I have to take a bottle or can home to do it. I try to conserve water and paper whenever I can. I am honored to be part of the Support Nature Project.

If i make it big awesome, if not it's been a fun experience. Looking to meet other photographers, models, and I love advice. I am definitely willing to travel. One thing that I require is a high level of professionalism.

Something that i do to help the environment are recycling! I do a lot of volunteer work for different non-profit agencies. These agencies have actually taken me to do highway trash pick-up and many other things. I try my best not to litter at all, and to drive others to do the same.

My name is Flip. I have been modeling for about 6 years now and I have always loved it. It gives me something to strive for and makes me want to work hard to attain it. Many, many things change in my life but one of the few constants that has been there to push me on has been my modeling career. I am also a personal trainer and that gives me great happiness. Seeing the changes I make in people, whether they are just your normal everyday working Joe or a specialized athlete, gives me great pride and satisfaction in what I do. I hope to become even more successful at the things I do and I plan on doing that by working hard and making sure to never lose sight of my goals.

“I recycle"...lol, just kidding. I feel like the act of making someone more fit makes them want to do more to stay healthy, and that means having a healthy environment, inside and outside. I motivate those around me to recycle and do as much possible to keep the earth clean. I love running outdoors and I don't believe I would enjoy running next to a trash dump or having to dodge litter all day. So while I'm outdoors I make sure to keep an eye out for anything I can do to make the environment safer and cleaner.

I am originally from Colorado and now live in Texas. I am a student and have recently started my modeling career. I’m in the gym about four to five times a week for about 2 hours at a time. I run hard and lift hard. I pay strict attention to what I’m eating with little variation in my diet. I stay away from harmful substances, I do, however, enjoy a good drink on occasion, though never in excess. For me, being healthy and in excellent shape requires that I find my balance and maintain it every day.

My goal is to be as happy as I can and live my life to the absolute fullest. To make the people I surround myself with as happy as possible, love everything that I do, and always strive for perfection.

I am very aware of doing the little things to help the environment. I recycle everything I can and I use reusable shopping bags when I shop. I buy organic foods which are healthy for the planet and me. I take the bus around town and walk where I can so I don’t have to use my car. I did go see the Disney Nature movie Oceans which was awesome. A part of my ticket price went to support our charity the Nature Conservancy!

I am originally from Wisconsin and now live in Denver, CO. I am going to school to get my nursing degree which takes a lot of time. I also work at a local hospital. I like to travel and spend time outdoors. Of course, I live in Colorado.

Making sure the plastics are in the recyclable has been done since I was a young child. I love being outside and going to support local parks. To be in nature and to see landscaping such as trees and flowers makes one appreciate the earth more.

I make sure when I’m at home I separate everything that can be used as a recyclable, even when I’m at a friends house I offer to take it back to mine. I bought a bike last year and drive it all most daily, this saves on gas, oil and admissions.

Born and raised in west Texas. I have always been explorative and curious about the world and different cultures. And, during college decided that I needed to get out of west Texas and see the rest of the world. During my sabbatical I was able to further my interests by moving around the United States and exploring different cultural opportunities that didn't exist in west Texas, other than the movies.

After returning to finish school, I made my next move to south-central Texas where I have resided since and have until recently enjoyed a very interesting and creative career in advertising. I came to the conclusion it still wasn't enough and I was tired of being tied to a desk working 80 hours a week. So, to make a long story short, I left and stumbled into modeling. I see my opportunities with modeling as being another vehicle for me to educate myself and have a better understanding of the world.

I have been lucky enough to travel extensively and been to really beautiful places on this planet. And knowing that they are slowly, in some cases quickly, being destroyed by deforestation and industrialism has made me make changes to how I buy food, clothes and even cars. We need to be conscious of the effects of our lifestyles and think about how we can keep the world a beautiful place. Supporting local farmers, buying LED lights, driving less and getting paper instead of plastic could add up exponentially if everyone tried a little.

Ways YOU can help

Wash and rinse your clothes with cold water. About 90% of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water. Using cold water keeps your energy bill and carbon emissions down.

Bring reusable bags when you go shopping. More items fit in a cloth bag than paper or plastic. If you forget your bag when running an errand, decide at the check out counter if you really need a bag for this purchase and, if not, tell the clerk to skip the bag.
Use revolving doors instead of swing doors when possible. An MIT study claims that one person walking through a revolving door on a cold day can save enough energy to light a 60-watt light bulb for nearly half an hour.
Kick the water bottle habit. Americans buy 28 billion water bottles a year, many of which end up in landfills.
Use less paper by using both sides of the sheet. And only print out materials or emails if you absolutely must have a hard copy.
Car pool, bike, walk or take public transportation at least once a week, and you can save thousands on gas and maintenance.
Call the companies that send you catalogs and ask to be taken off their mailing lists.
Use power strips that can be turned off for appliances and electronic devices to avoid energy vampires. These devices often use power and act like vampires silently sucking away energy even when they are turned off.
Reduce energy consumption at your home and office. Turn off the lights and TV when no one is in the room and if you haven’t replaced your light bulbs with florescent bulbs get with the program and buy some today.

I take pride in our planet just like I take pride in my body. When I see someone litter, I feel it not just as bad as putting something in our body that is not good for us, but as polluting the one body that we all share. It's this planet that gives us life and it just doesn't stop at that.. it gives us all the beauties of its' far ends and the necessary nourishment from the roots coming out of the dirt. Just because our planet has such a long life does not mean we should take it for granted. Preserving the earth and enjoying all the fruits of life are our responsibilities as human beings.

My name is Christopher Howell and I was born on July 20, 1984. I’m a professional and International Actor/Model/Dancer. Growing up, I lived in several different states across the US. While living in all of these different places, I learned how to make friends quickly and how to always keep a positive attitude no matter what situation I’m put into. When it came to school, I played as many sports as possible because I love to experience new things. Before I knew it, several years of fun had passed and here I am now. My constant drive to be perfect (acquired from the military) has left me with a great background in all sports, including martial arts, and a personality that tends to draw people towards me.
When it comes to our environment, I try to tread as lightly as possible. (pick up trash, wash cloths in cold water, unplug everything around the house, walk or catch rides when I can) Community wise, I love to help out in any way shape or form. Donating cloths, helping out at fundraising events, volunteering at food drives, handing out gift packages to the unfortunate around the holidays, and constantly planting plants into my patio garden.

I grew up in a small town, Lampasas, Texas, and was never far from any athletic sport being played. I enjoy meeting new people and learning new ways to further myself as a person and in the entertainment industry. I started my college career in theatre at Trinity Valley Community College and graduated with my Associate of Arts Degree and then transferred to a University in Texas. I have plans to move to California and seek out the adventure of auditions and casting calls, modeling and/or acting, as my dream is to star in a film or television series.
There are many ways one can aid the environment around them. For example, hand washing dishes and avoiding disposable silverware and dinnerware, avoid driving everywhere, planting or gardening, eating out less or simply recycling. Being a college student, I have the option of driving everywhere but instead I decide to put my body to work by riding my bicycle especially over the summer to work. I hand wash all my dishes and I oppose using the dishwasher and hardly use disposable items like paper towels for cleaning. Manual labor is better. I believe the most important activity that I have done has been planting trees, flowers, or bushes on my parent’s property. The results of planting have many effects such as more shade for the house which permits the reduction in air conditioning during the summer heat as well as making the air around the yard prone to being clean due to the release of plant oxygen and carbon dioxide absorption.

Hello my name is Tyrone Betters. I am a 19 year old college student from Dallas, Texas. I am currently a sophomore at Georgia Southern University majoring in business management. I started my modeling career my freshmen year of college, when I tried out for a fashion show and liked it so much that I wanted to get better at modeling. Ever since then I have had numerous shoots, been in numerous shows, and now I am really making this my career choice. I want to be one of the best male models of my time period. I feel that I do have a lot to offer to the industry and I can be very successful. I also one day want to own various businesses.

I wouldn’t call myself and environment freak, but I feel that in order to keep a clean environment you have to start with yourself. I make a habit to recycle all that can be. Whether it be soda cans, water bottles, cardboard boxes, if it can be recycled I recycle it. Georgia Southern has recycle bens all around the campus so there is no problem doing it. When I am walking and I see some paper or something on the ground, I take the initiative and pick it up and throw it away. I try to reframe from littering unless it’s like excess fruit or something because that can actually help the environment. I understand that industry has also been going green, so it would be a good idea to have shoots that support the green movement.

My name is Colbi Bruce. I was born and raised in a small town just outside Austin, TX. I am a PFTA certified personal trainer, nutritional guidance counselor and work as a fitness instructor for Corporate Fitness Revolution. I’m an active member of several environmental groups, and charity organizations. I love volunteering my time to pick up litter on our Texas highways, plant new trees and voicing my views on the importance of respecting our environment. In addition, I also make smart choices in my everyday life pertaining to efficient use of environmental resources. These include taking short showers instead of baths, re-purposing previously used paper and plastic products, and car pooling whenever possible.

My name is Daniel Sandoval. I grew up in a small town in a very desolate part of West Texas. When I was seventeen I left the country life and moved to Dallas, TX. I now run a delivery company with my brother which has been in business for 7 years. I have been modeling for about 4 years now and I really enjoy it. It helps keeps me focused and it challenges me to stay in tip top shape. I can definitely see myself getting more involved with the modeling industry if there are opportunities. My hobbies are composing and writing original music, playing the guitar, running, working out and watching movies. I love my family very much and life my life to the fullest!
I’m also well aware and involved in protecting our environment. I do everything I possibly can to avoid using Styrofoam cups, plates or any single use items for that matter. I cook my own meals at home and use a glass plate. When I have my coffee in the morning I use a glass mug. My gym is less than a mile away from my place so I run to the gym and run back home. I do this so my car is not on the road releasing more carbon monoxide into the air; which is deadly by the way. If one person per household across the globe could make a minor contribution to protecting our environment, just imagine what a difference that could make.

Lance Winters

Lance is a relatively new model with stunning potential. Modeling is not his ultimate goal, however. "I want to finish school with a Doctorate and become a psychologist for teens. My big dream is to be an actor, though. Overall, I just want to be the best person I can be." This model stays in shape doing both cardio and weight training. He also plays the occasional game of golf, basketball or football. If Lance doesn't get chosen for a particular job, he doesn't sweat the small stuff; rejection simply doesn't faze him. "Rejection doesn't bother me. I don't care what people think." Admittedly, Lance hardly gets any time to relax, and when he does, he prefers to spend it sleeping. However, he and his friends enjoy some downtime playing video games.

Since Lance enjoys being outdoors playing various sports he strongly believes in a better environment. He is glad to be part of this project to raise awareness about a better environment for us and our children. Of course, he recycles as we all should and he is going to look at other ways he can participate in environmental projects this year.

Originally from Chicago, IL and raised in Indiana, Hasani Bryan is a city boy who has always had an appreciation of nature and a general belief in the inherent good of humanity. Originally attending college with the intent of going on to medical school, he was moved midway through his academic career with the desire to entertain. While participating in a charity fashion show he developed a love of the fashion industry and became involved with various shows and campaigns.
Hasani moved to Dallas, TX after graduating from school to pursue a career in runway and commercial modeling. While in Dallas, he learned about the various ways in which the Earth has suffered from years of neglect. Knowing that every little bit helps, he lives an environmentally friendly lifestyle by shopping for organic foods, using cloth shopping bags and environmentally friendly products, carpooling when possible and supporting environmentally conscience projects and campaigns. Dakota Williams, a resident Texan, began contemplating a career in modeling at the age of eighteen. When he’s not modeling, Dakota is a self-described night owl. “I’m not up too much during the daytime. I’ve been entertaining for almost a year now, so I’m pretty active at night. This male model credits his family and friends as being his biggest source of inspiration as well as his support group. “When anything bad happens, my friends are always there for me. There’s never a lot of drama with us; I just have great friends. Sometimes we get a little crazy. We tend to exaggerate stuff and sometimes take things too far.”

I started modeling two years ago when approached by a magazine editor at a gym I personal trained at. I have always been in shape but modeling helped push me to work out more. I constantly studied the art of modeling and the creative side as well. I love being in from of the camera and seeing creative individuals mesh together and make magic.

My goal with modeling is to be a recognized face and name. I also aspire to be a working model in New York City and use modeling to open up other avenues. I would love to grace the top fashion magazines and fitness magazines.

Coming from a small town i recognize the importance of everyone pulling together to make the community better. So, I volunteer my services once a week to helping pick up around my neighborhood and also picking up around my workplace. Take those used items to a nearby animal shelter where cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets can use them as bedding. It will save landfill space and help keep the critters comfy.

Often, shelters struggle from reduced budgets and lower donations during financial hard times. Donating these items will free up their funds for other items. There isn't a dog around that would complain about a little drool on their blanket.

I am a 19 year old full time college student and full time job holder. I actually have two jobs, one is at Chili’s bar and grill and the other is at Abercrombie and Fitch. At the moment I go to a local community college but plan to transfer to a major university within a year. I am very busy during the week and on weekends but still mix in a little fun every now and then. Life is too short not to live a little. I love modeling. I have loved it ever since I can remember. I would like to get signed by a major modeling agency and travel the world. Be the next big time model, a household name. But at the same time not compromise my morals and beliefs. I am a very driven person and won’t stop till I am the best at whatever it is that I put myself into. I like having the camera on me; there is so many things that can be said through a picture and the expressions and backgrounds. It is truly a blessing and an honor to be able to do what i do.

Keeping our environment healthy is so important and everybody needs to do their part. Not only do I recycle but doing something as small as carpooling to work and school or turning off lights when you leave a room are all helpful. I support our nations going green and not having to rely on so much foreign oil to run this country. I am currently in the process of getting together an awareness group at my local college to go around and raise questions to classes and give answers on how to help our world become a more green place. I want my kids, kids, kids, kids, kids to be able to enjoy this earth as much as I have.

I am a graduate of Paul Mitchell Cosmetology Career Center in Dallas, TX and Licensed Cosmetologist and Licensed Cosmetology Instructor in Texas. I trained with Judy Disbrow of Theatrical Hair Goods in San Francisco, CA were I learned the art of wig making and developed my skills at design and hair styling. Since then I have worked with several great companies including Steve Silver's "Beach Blanket Babylon" where I was the Wigmaster, San Francisco Opera and Ballet, Old Globe Theater in San Diego, Kentucky Opera, just to name a few. I currently live in Dallas, TX and continuing working within all aspects of the Beauty Industry.

One Cup at a Time

You can make a difference to our environment, conserve trees and reduce waste one cup at a time. When you visit your local coffee shop... do ceramic. Get your favorite beverage to stay! Save the paper cup and the lid and the sleeve. If your local hangout only has paper; ask them to help and get mugs.
We all need a chance to stop and relax so this can be a way for you to slow down. See, it can help the environment and you. Chris Rountree, an On Display Men model, is working at the Frosted Java and got his hot chocolate to stay!
You can even go a step further and ask for some coffee grounds to take home to use on the plants. Then, the grounds don't have to take up space in the ground.

Natural Holidays

Want to get noticed for having a great-looking holiday setup? Try natural elements like pinecones and pumpkins for your holiday centerpieces. They make for one-of-a-kind decorations and guarantee your table will outshine the rest.
Items like gourds are biodegradable and won't clog up landfills like traditional plastic decorations. You can toss these centerpieces in your compost pile after the holidays and they'll help beautify your garden come spring.
If you're hosting a holiday soiree, your centerpieces can double as gifts or door prizes.
Thanksgiving - How about a cornucopia? Or just set out a variety of colorful gourds and pumpkins (later, remember to toast pumpkin seeds and maybe even whip up a pie).
Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa - Use festive potted plants (like poinsettias). Make an evergreen wreath or garland. Build a pinecone tree.

Recycling Never Gets Old

Recycling is an easy way to be kind to the environment because everyone can do something. Here are some simple things you can do to be green that you may never have thought about.

Return all your hangers back to the drycleaner.
Bring reusable cloth bags to the grocery store instead of using plastic bags.
Have a swap party with your friends. Everyone brings over items or clothing they no longer want, and trade.
Before donating books or magazines, check with the hospital or schools to see if they will accept the donation. Keep in mind, some schools only accept new school supplies.
Repurpose items. A small flower pot or festive coffee mug can become a pen holder. A Kleenex box can hold plastic bags that you collected (before switching to the cloth bags).
Reuse plastic bags for smaller trash cans, packing in boxes or holding wet bathing suits from a trip to the beach.
Fill up a reusable water bottle or coffee mug instead of plastic bottles or paper cups.
Many appliances use energy when not in use. Unplug things like hair dryers, phone chargers and coffee pots to reduce your energy usage.

When it comes to going green, you don’t have to be perfect. Just remember that every little bit helps.
